Jack Collison was happy to return to West Ham's team, but knows Premier League survival is the priority.

But Welshman knows the importance of Premier League survival

Jack Collison has admitted his delight at returning to the West Ham team, but knows the priority is to help the club avoid Premier League relegation. The Welshman returned from more than a year on the sidelines when he made an appearance as a second-half substitute in Saturday's draw with Blackburn. Collison was obviously happy to be back, however, he was also disappointed that rock-bottom West Ham could only take a point against Steve Kean's strugglers. The 22-year-old said in The Sun: "It was great to be back on the pitch, but it would have been nice to get the three points we needed. "The first three months after my knee operation I was laid in bed for eight hours a day on a machine just trying to bend my leg again. "But it's not about me now. It's all about the team and keeping West Ham in the Premiership. "It's a massive task to stay up. We've talked all season about how we're good enough to get out of it and now it's time for the talking to stop."
