Striker expecting plenty of summer activity at Loftus Road

Experienced striker Heidar Helguson is hoping he can sign a new contract at Queens Park Rangers following the club's promotion. Helguson has chipped in with 13 goals in the Championship this season to help QPR secure a return to the Premier League. However, the 33-year-old's contract is due to expire and the Iceland international is waiting to learn if he will be offered an extension. The former Watford and Fulham forward wants to stay at Loftus Road, but is anticipating plenty of transfer activity in the summer. "As of now I don't have a contract," said Helguson. "I am hopeful of signing one but there will always be rumours at QPR, about players and managers. I can't speculate what will happen. "There will be players coming in and players leaving, which happens at every club."
