Leeds United have not given up hope of re-signing midfield duo Neil Kilkenny and Bradley Johnson while Patrick Kisnorbo could win fresh terms.
Kilkenny and Johnson are both out of contract this summer and are able to leave the Elland Road club on free transfer if they so wish.
Leeds attempted to secure the duo on fresh deals throughout the season, but were unable to reach an agreement with their representatives.
The Whites have secured another season of Championship football and Leeds have confirmed they will 'remain in dialogue' with the players' agents with the hope of thrashing out new terms.
"Midfield duo Bradley Johnson and Neil Kilkenny are both out of contract in June. Both players are over the age of 23 and as such are eligible to leave on a free transfer this summer if they so wish," read a statement on the club's official website.
"The club has had discussions with both players and their representatives during the season but were unable to agree terms that were acceptable to both parties.
"The club will remain in dialogue with the representatives of the players to establish if the situation has changed now we have reached the end of the season and the club's league status is known."
Meanwhile, manager Simon Grayson has confirmed the club will be offering fit-again defender Patrick Kisnorbo a new contract.
The Australian made his return from long-term injury in Saturday's 2-1 win at QPR after spending over a year recovering from Achilles surgery.
Kisnorbo was a rock at the back before his injury and Grayson is a huge fan of his ability and hopes terms can be reached for the stopper to stay on.
"It was great to see Paddy come back on Saturday," he said. "It's obviously been a long, hard road for him and he's had a tough time with the injury.
"We will be putting together a contract which we hope will suit both parties."
