David de Gea has revealed that he is keeping his options open as he contemplates the offer of a new deal from Atletico Madrid and reported interest from Manchester United.
Sir Alex Ferguson is in the market for a new goalkeeper with Edwin van der Sar set to retire in the summer, and De Gea is understood to be one of the players on United's radar.
The 20-year-old has produced a series of accomplished performances for Atletico this season and is regarded as a special talent.
Atletico moved to ward off any potential suitors by presenting De Gea with the offer of a contract extension last month, but he has yet to put pen to paper.
De Gea plans to make a decision on his future at the end of the season and is not ruling anything out at this stage, although he is adamant that no deal has yet been agreed with United.
"I am calm about my future," he told Marca. "I have a deal here and during this month I have seen many rumours.
"But I will decide on the future from 30th June. At this moment I do not discard any situation.
"Atletico Madrid have presented to me a proposition for a new deal and I need to evaluate many questions. Not everything in football is based on the question of money.
"The interest of Manchester United in my services feels like praise but I have not signed a document with the English club."
