Middlesbrough's influential midfielder Barry Robson has set his sights on playing Premier League football in the near future and insists that he wants to get there with the Teesside outfit.
Boro's early-season relegation worries eased following Tony Mowbray's arrival in October, as he steered them to a comfortable mid-table finish in the Championship.
Scotland international Robson managed just 29 league starts in an injury-ravaged campaign, but has recently been linked with a host of top flight clubs.
However, the 32-year-old claims he is determined to help take Boro back into the big time next season.
"It has been great for me since I joined the club and the fans have been brilliant with me, but this season has been a frustrating one for me because of the injuries," Robson told skysports.com.
"I've only managed to play in just over half of the games, so it has been rather stop-start for me.
"Hopefully, I can get a more injury-free season next season and help push the club further towards the Premier League again because that is where I want to help the club get to.
"I've played in the Champions League, Europa League and the Scottish Premier League, so the English Premier League is the only one that has been missing in my career.
"I really want to help the club get back into the top flight because that is where it belongs and I'd love to give the Premier League a crack before my playing days are over."
