Milan midfielder expected to link up with Serie A rivals

Andrea Pirlo's agent has announced that the midfielder is set to join Juventus this summer. Pirlo stated earlier this week that he would be leaving AC Milan after a decade at the San Siro, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season. The 32-year-old has decided to explore a fresh challenge and it appears Serie A rivals Juve are in pole position to secure his services. Pirlo's representative, Tullio Tinti, claims a deal is close to being agreed and expects further developments over the next few days. "There are a few details to define yet, but I think Pirlo is set to go to Juventus," Tinti told the Italian press. "In a few days he will take a definitive decision, but I really think Juve are the main candidates. "With Milan we never thought about financial aspects. The desire was for a new experience."

Boateng uncertainty

Another player who could be set to leave Milan this summer is Kevin-Prince Boateng, who is part-owned by Genoa. For Boateng to make a permanent move to Milan the two clubs need to come to an agreement over the second half of his contract, which has not happened yet. Inter Milan are also rumoured to be interested in buying Boateng, and the midfielder admits he remains in the dark over his future. "I know absolutely nothing," he said. "In football anything can happen. "I'm happy at Milan, this is a great moment because we've just won the title. My colours are (Milan's) red and black. "Of course I want to stay at Milan even though I can't be 100 per cent sure I will. "I know there are ongoing discussions. It would give me great pleasure to say definitely I'm a Milan player but at the moment I'm only half one."
