English eyes on defender
Skysports.com understands Premier League trio Newcastle, Blackburn and Wigan are tracking French defender Cedric Hengbart.
Hengbart is entering the final year of his contract at Auxerre and is thought to be considering his future at Stade Abbe Deschamps.
The 30-year-old has been a regular in the Auxerre side since arriving from Caen in 2008 and Hengbart is noted as an attacking defender in Ligue 1.
Toulouse are believed to have made a €1.6million offer for Hengbart as they look to bolster their defensive options for next season.
With Hengbart having just one year to run on his contract the player can buy himself out of his contract for as little as £500,000 under the Webster ruling.
The news has alerted Newcastle, Blackburn and Wigan who are all in the market for a new right-back for next season.
