Stuart Pearce believes Phil Jones and Jordan Henderson are fully focused on helping England U21s despite impending big money transfers.
Sunderland midfielder Henderson has had a medical at Liverpool this week ahead of a proposed £20million transfer, as did Blackburn defender Jones at Manchester United.
The pair have now joined up with the England U21 squad ahead of their tilt at the European Championships in Denmark and boss Pearce believes they will be concentrating on the job in hand.
Pearce told Sky Sports News: "It wasn't a hindrance because I know what the sort of players I'm dealing with, with those two individuals are fantastically focused players and an absolute pleasure to work with.
"I had contact with both of them in respect to asking permission to go and speak to the clubs and tie up individual deals that they got.
"If I put myself in their position I would want a deal tied up before I went to a major championship. I wouldn't want to be worrying about it while I'm at the championship and I think that was their mentality as well.
"So they've got those deals all signed and sealed. They were with us last night, then back on the training pitch today with no problems at all and we're pleased for them.
"They are extremely talented players so I'm not surprised that clubs are looking to vie for their services."
When questioned if the deals were completed, he replied: "I've got no interest really, I know the players are back with us, they're quite happy. I've no idea, I've not spoken to them in depth about what's gone on or what hasn't gone on at individual clubs.
"We were happy for them to go with their representatives to speak to various clubs, wherever they've been and it's not really my business.
"So what we do know is they're back, they're focused with us and they've got a concentration and a focus for the Under 21s."
