Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has confirmed the newly promoted club are set to make a hat-trick of loan signings and have made up to nine bids for new players.
The London Road outfit are preparing for life back in the Championship after beating Huddersfield 3-0 in the League One play-off final last month.
MacAnthony is keen to strengthen the Posh squad to avoid a repeat of their last season in the division, when they finished rock bottom in 2010.
He has spoken of the step-up in the side's recruitment drive and confirmed that one of the players approached was Exeter goalkeeper Paul Jones, who spent the second half of last season on loan at the club.
"I think we have made around nine bids for players at this moment in time as we speak terms have been agreed for three loan players as well," MacAnthony told the club's official website.
"An offer has been made for Paul Jones, but if he turns us down we will go with what we have and that is two incredibly talented goalkeepers. The club rates Paul Jones, the club wants Paul Jones and have offered him a great contract so the ball's in his and his agents' court.
"We actually bought Joe Day as a replacement for Joe Lewis in the event he was sold. He is a very talented goalkeeper."
