Bristol Rovers have completed the signing of striker Matt Harrold from League Two rivals Shrewsbury Town for an undisclosed fee.
Skysports.com revealed earlier this month that Rovers were lining up a move for Harrold after losing Will Hoskins to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Harrold only joined Shrewsbury last summer on a free transfer from Wycombe Wanderers and scored nine goals last season.
He has now agreed a two-year contract at the Memorial Stadium and new Rovers boss Paul Buckle is happy to have added the 26-year-old to his squad.
"I am delighted to have Matt on board. We managed to get him for a great price, he is a real bargain," Buckle told the club's official website.
"He is strong, and a solid target man but he is also good with the ball into his feet. He is a class act, and I know that his work rate will endear him to the Bristol Rovers faithful.
"He is capable of playing at League One level, and these are the type of players I am trying to bring to the club."
