Huddersfield Town manager Lee Clark says there has been 'no contact' from Norwich City regarding winger Anthony Pilkington.
Premier League new boys Norwich have been linked with a £1.75million move for Pilkington as Paul Lambert looks to build a squad capable of staying in the top flight.
Pilkington has been an impressive performer for Huddersfield since joining the club from Stockport County in 2009 and Clark is not surprised by the interest in the 23-year-old.
However, Clark has not fielded any enquiries for the wide man and says Pilkington would cost more than the figures that have been quoted in the media.
"There's been no contact," Clark told the Huddersfield Examiner.
"He's one of the best players in the Football League and I'm not surprised he's being linked with Premier League clubs.
"The rumours are pretty much inevitable, but the figures being talked about are hugely below our valuation, and the best way to look at them is that they confirm we are doing the right things in signing talented young players and developing them."
Meanwhile, Clark is confident Pilkington will be fit for the opening game of the new League One season against Bury on 6th August.
Pilkington suffered a dislocated ankle and broken fibula against Rochdale in March and is working his way back towards full fitness.
Clark added: "While he might not be able to start pre-season with the group, I'm confident he'll be ready for the first league game."
