The agent of Kenya midfielder Victor Wanyama has stated that Celtic have agreed a fee to secure his client's signature.
Wanyama, who is the younger brother of Inter midfielder MacDonald Mariga, has been the subject of interest from several clubs, but the Hoops are thought to be closest to completing a deal.
The 19-year-old, who currently plays for Belgian side Germinal Beerschot, has attracted attention after several excellent performances for his club, and agent Ivan Modia admitted that the player would prefer a move to Scotland.
Wanyama has played 11 times for the Kenyan national side, and has already become an established player at club level, playing 30 games and scoring two goals.
"There are seven clubs interested, but Celtic has now put in an offer," Modia was quoted as saying in the Daily Express.
"Deals have been agreed between Germinal Beerschot and two clubs.
"Standard Liege have been keen to close the deal, but the player wants to go to Celtic."
