Bayer Leverkusen have made it clear that it will take an 'extraordinary' bid to land Arturo Vidal.

Leverkusen will not allow midfielder to leave on the cheap

Bayer Leverkusen have made it clear that it will take an 'extraordinary' bid to land Arturo Vidal. The Bundesliga outfit have seen interest in their Chilean midfielder mount since the transfer window re-opened. Bayern Munich have led the chase for the talented midfielder, with one offer having already been knocked back. Vidal has expressed a desire to move to the Allianz Arena, but Leverkusen are reluctant to do business with a domestic rival. They are also prepared to stand their ground and wait for their valuation to be met before discussing any potential deal.

Valuation

It is understood that an offer of around £14million would be required in order to bring Leverkusen to the table. With no such bid in place, Voller insists the club have no intention of offloading a player that is still under contract. "To agree a deal for Arturo Vidal we would expect to receive an extraordinary bid," Leverkusen's general manager told Rheinische Post on a player who has also attracted interest from AC Milan and Napoli. "We have not received a suitable offer as yet. There is nothing like that on the table. "Taking that into account, we expect Arturo Vidal to remain at the club for the upcoming season."
