Jerome Boateng is confident he will complete a move to Bayern Munich despite Manchester City placing a hefty price tag on his head.
The Blues are reluctant to part with the full-back for less than €20million (£17.8m) and have made any potential suitors aware of that valuation.
City only spent £10.4million on the 22-year-old last summer, but believe they can recoup considerably more than that.
It remains to be seen whether Bayern are prepared to dig deep for Boateng, but he has made it clear that he would be willing to make such a switch.
Having struggled to settle in England, the Germany international is hoping an agreement can be reached which will allow him to head home.
Boateng told BILD: "I must be patient. There is really not a great deal more that can be said.
"I am concentrating on my training and hope that a resolution will be found quickly. I believe it will."
Boateng is currently recovering from a knee operation he underwent in the United States and acknowledges that he has a lot of work to do if he is to be ready for the start of the 2011/12 campaign.
He is, however, pleased with the progress being made in his rehabilitation and is prepared to put the time in on the training field over the summer in an effort to regain full fitness.
He added: "I have no pain. I am working on my condition, strength and speed. The whole lot."
