Bournemouth manager Lee Bradbury is expecting out-of-contract striker Ben Williamson to join League Two club Port Vale.
Williamson joined the Cherries in February after a spell at Glenn Hoddle's Academy and he made five substitute appearances last season.
He has been offered the chance to stay at Dean Court, however, Bradbury has revealed the 22-year-old looks likely to sign for Vale.
"Ben Williamson is in advanced talks at Port Vale," Bradbury told the club's official website.
"I have been negotiating with him for a few weeks and it's disappointing that he's not going to be signing for us.
"I can understand why he has made this decision because I can't promise him first-team football. It's a difficult one for him, a big decision, but one he feels is going to be beneficial to him.
"We have got a lot of quality strikers at the club and he will get more opportunities at Port Vale, but it's still a shame as I saw something in him, but he has chosen to take up an offer elsewhere as he looks to further his career and I don't blame him for that."
