Lille coach Rudi Garcia has refuted the suggestion that Eden Hazard is looking to leave the club.
The Belgian starlet continues to generate plenty of transfer gossip, with some of Europe's biggest clubs believed to chasing his signature.
Lille, though, have refused to waver in their insistence that the player is not for sale.
That remains the case, with reports linking Paris St Germain, who are now backed by the wealth of the Qatar Investment Authority, quickly played down.
Garcia told
L'Equipe: "I am not sure he wants to leave. He knows his status here and at a large club there is much more uncertainty.
"He will also play in the Champions League here."
He added: "(President) Michel Seydoux has said he is non-transferable and that is the right approach. I would not understand selling one of our best players to PSG."
Complicated
Garcia takes a different stance on Gervinho, however, who has just 12 months remaining on his contract.
The Ivory Coast international, who is interesting Arsenal, can go if the price is right.
"Economically it is complicated," he said.
"You cannot keep a player who is out of contract in a year."
One player who has already left Lille this summer is midfielder Yohan Cabaye, who left for Newcastle.
"I was convinced he would stay when we qualified automatically for the Champions League," Garcia added.
"I was surprised by his choice."
