Celtic's new signing Kelvin Wilson has expressed his delight at making his long-awaited debut for the SPL giants.
Wilson agreed to join the Bhoys in January on a pre-contract, but he had to wait until his Nottingham Forest deal expired before he could complete the move.
Six months after finalising terms with Neil Lennon's side he finally made his debut in Saturday's 1-0 friendly defeat to Central Coast Mariners in Sydney.
Wilson admits he was nervous ahead of making his Celtic debut, even more so considering he had been frozen out of Forest's first-team picture once his transfer was confirmed.
"It was nice to get it out the way," he told the club's official website.
"It's always a bit nervy playing your first game, and it was nice to play football again overall as I haven't played for a long time.
"It was my first match in over five months, so for that I was happy. I was pretty pleased with my fitness, too.
"I just want to kick on in every game now and keep getting fitter and be in contention for the start of the season.
"It was good to get back into things and I was happy with the performance but getting through the 90 minutes was what I was happy with more than most. That was the main thing.
"I would have been happy to get 60 minutes at the start of the game but I looked at the clock and saw 88 minutes and thought, 'yes, I have 90 minutes under my belt which is the first time for a long time', so I was delighted."
