Aalesund have prepared for Jonathan Parr's expected departure for England by signing a replacement on Thursday.
The Norway international was said to be watched by a Foxes scout last month and his club have now secured the services of Sarpsborg defender Jo Nymo Matland.
And just hours before Aalesund's Europa League clash against Ferencvaros, club director Henrik Hoff confirmed they had received a bid from an English club for Parr.
"We are not going to do anything before we are done with the European game," he told VG Nett.
"We have just not decided on the bid yet."
Parr played in the game but Sunday's league match against Viking Stavanger could be his last for Aalesund.
The 22-year-old left-back was linked with Nottingham Forest during last season and Norway's TV2 has this week claimed QPR, Swansea and West Ham have also weighed up making a move.
"I know that there has been some interest but I have also declared that I want to know as little as possible before things are concrete," Parr added.
"Jonathan will either leave this summer or when his contract ends in the New Year. We have realised that, that's why we have agreed to sign Matland.
"But we still can't let Parr leave if we don't feel we are getting reasonably paid."
