Aulas hints at imminent move for Auxerre midfielder
Lyon chairman Kean-Michel Aulas has revealed that the club could be about to move for Delvin Ndinga.
The Auxerre midfielder recently admitted that he would welcome a switch to Stade Gerland, following intense speculation regarding his future.
Lyon have welcomed his comments and are preparing to launch a raid for the 23-year-old Congo international.
Aulas insists the club will not be spending big this summer, with it important to cut costs rather than increase them, but admits Ndinga would be a useful addition to Remi Garde's squad.
Options
"It is nice to hear that players want to come, it means we are an attractive club," he said.
"We do need another defensive midfielder. There are other options, but Remi Garde and Bernard Lacombe have their eye on him (Ndinga).
"Our priority is to reduce the wage bill. That is the case at all clubs, but at least I have the courage to say it.
"Departures are not essential, but we do need to have a strategy."
