Ivory Coast striker to take Premier League by storm this season
Theo Walcott has backed Arsenal new-boy Gervinho to make his mark on the Premier League this term.
The Ivory Coast international bagged a brace on his debut against Cologne on Saturday with two delightful finishes.
Gervinho, 24, top scored for Lille last season with 15 goals as they claimed a League and Cup Double.
Arsene Wenger managed to secure his services for a fee reported to be in the region of £10.7million.
Intelligent
And England international Walcott has instantly warmed to the intelligent movement and link-up play that have been traits of Arsenal under Wenger's stewardship.
Walcott told Arsenal's official website: "Gervinho will be a breath of fresh air, I think. He looks a great talent.
"You can tell he can bring goals, he has got plenty of pace about him and he is very comfortable on the ball. I am looking forward to playing with him.
"You don't want to put too much pressure on him but I am sure he can deal with that."
