Sought-after midfielder Marek Hamsik has reiterated his intention to remain at Napoli this season despite heavy interest from elsewhere.
The 23-year-old Slovakia international has been strongly linked with several top European clubs this summer, with Serie A champions AC Milan tipped as his most likely destination.
However Hamsik, who is under contract at the San Paolo until June 2015, insists he has no plans to leave Napoli in the near future.
"I love Napoli, I love Neapolitans and I love the city. I've never thought to leave," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I'm focused on Napoli and next season. For the moment I don't want to think about moving in the distant future."
He added: "It wouldn't be right to (Napoli president Aurelio) De Laurentiis, who believed in me from the first moment.
"There is always room to grow. Here at Napoli I can do it with the right calmness and the right motivations."
Asked what his reaction would be if a European heavyweight such as Barcelona or Real Madrid came knocking in the future, he replied: "Should a big side like me one day, I'll decide what to do with Napoli."
Hamsik enjoyed a successful campaign with the Partenopei last season, scoring 11 times in 37 league appearances to help them to a third-placed finish and UEFA Champions League qualification.
The midfielder is relishing the prospect of playing in club football's most elite tournament this term, adding: "I'm looking forward to hearing the Champions League song at the San Paolo."
