Keeper delighted to stay at St Mary's
Southampton goalkeeper Kelvin Davis has signed a new contract to keep him at St Mary's until 2014.
The Saints skipper has established himself as a key player since arriving from Sunderland in 2006.
Davis was delighted to pledge his long-term future to the Championship new boys.
"I'm over the moon," Davi told the club's official website.
"I've never made it any secret that I want to play my football here and in the last five years I've had some interesting times.
"Certainly the last two years have been very positive, so to sign a new contract that keeps me going here means I'm delighted."
Southampton boss Nigel Adkins admits Davis plays a big role at the club on and off the pitch.
"He has a lot of strengths, not only as a goalkeeper, but as club captain too, where his great leadership skills and personality come to the fore," noted Adkins.
