Midfielder delighted to be on the brink of Premier League football

Radosav Petrovic has told skysports.com of his delight at edging closer to completing his move to Blackburn Rovers. The Partizan Belgrade midfielder is only waiting on international clearance before sealing his switch to Ewood Park, having already passed a medical and agreed personal terms. Rovers manager Steve Kean confirmed on Friday morning the transfer was almost finalised, and Petrovic is excited by the prospect of playing in the Premier League. "I'm extremely happy to have agreed everything and know it will be a nervous couple of weeks until the work permit panel," the 22-year-old told skysports.com. "But I hope that everything will be okay. "I want to thank Partizan and Blackburn for making this happen, and thank you also to all the Partizan fans." He added: "I'm looking forward to starting the next stage of my career and playing in the Premier League." Kean views Petrovic as an ideal replacement for Jermaine Jones, who returned to Schalke after his loan.
