Chelsea youngster Josh McEachran has revealed his main goal for the season is to emulate the achievements of Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere.
The 18-year-old is viewed as one of Chelsea's brightest prospects and made nine appearances for the first-team last campaign as well as picking up the club's Young Player of The Year award.
The midfielder also caught the eye of England Under-21 manager Stuart Pearce and made four appearances for the Young Lions last season.
Now the talented starlet has set his sights on mirroring the progress of 19-year-old Wilshere, who not only established himself in the Gunners midfield last term but also became a regular in the England senior set-up.
"I speak with Jack a lot and we text each other," said McEachran. "We've got similar abilities but Jack's a year or so ahead of me.
"I'm delighted with the progress he's making. I've always kept an eye on what he's doing - on loan at Bolton, coming back to Arsenal and playing for England.
"Jack's one of the best young players in the world. He's done really well. Hopefully I can do what he's done."
