Midfielder Aaron Ramsey believes he has learned a lot from his Arsenal team-mate and club captain Cesc Fabregas.
The Spaniard was left out of the Arsenal squad which takes part in the Emirates Cup this weekend, increasing talk of a proposed move to admirers Barcelona.
AC Milan have reportedly entered the race for his signature and, fearing a move is imminent, 21-year-old Ramsey admits Fabregas has been a huge influence on his career.
"Being the captain he has been a great role model, not just for me but for everyone else as well," Ramsey told the Daily Star Sunday.
"Obviously he's one of the best midfielders in the league and you do learn a lot from him. But there are many players in the squad who you learn from and take advice from.
"He came over here at 16 and became one of the best midfielders in Europe, if not the world."
Fabregas is believed to be keen on a move, with Arsenal having failed to land a major trophy for six years, but Ramsey is adamant their style will not change despite the drought.
He added: "I think that the way we play is very attractive and everyone wants to be a part of that. Hopefully now we can put that together and actually win something this season."
