Goalkeeper delighted to land deal with Burnley
Skysports.com understands that former Bournemouth goalkeeper Jon Stewart has signed a one-year deal with Burnley.
Stewart has been looking for a new club since leaving Bournemouth earlier this year and had a number of options to consider.
But he is now believed to have joined the Clarets on a free transfer after penning a 12-month contract, with the option for a further year.
Stewart is looking forward to playing under the management team of Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall after working with them at Bournemouth.
"Jon is delighted to have put pen to paper," Stewart's agent Christian Emile told skysports.com.
"He had considered other offers but the chance to work again with Eddie and Jason at a club like Burnley was an opportunity he had to take.
"He is very much looking forward to playing Championship football this season."
