Swans boss says winger will improve his team

Brendan Rodgers believes new signing Wayne Routledge is the man to entertain the Liberty Stadium upon their debut Premier League campaign. Routledge, 26, became Swans boss Rodgers' fifth summer signing on Thursday, signing a three-year deal after an undisclosed fee, believed to be around £2million, was agreed with Newcastle. And Rodgers expects the former England Under-21 winger, who is set to make his debut against Real Betis on Saturday, to have the home crowd on the edge of their seats. "Wayne is someone who will get in the final third and get the crowd on their feet with a piece of magic or a combination to get in behind," Rodgers told the Daily Mirror. "He has experience of the Premier League and I've no doubt he will improve us as a team."
