Rangers defender Steven Whittaker is set to play through the pain of a broken toe against Inverness on Saturday.
The injury forced the Scotland international to withdraw from the squad for Wednesday's friendly against Denmark.
Whittaker, 27, sustained the injury in the UEFA Champions League defeat against Malmo before he was dismissed.
However, it appears Ally McCoist will still be able to call on his services as they return to domestic action.
"Steven Whittaker suffered a problem in the game against Malmo," McCoist told Rangers TV.
"He went for an X-ray and something has shown up in one of his toes. We didn't think it is anything too major and we would hope he would be fit for Saturday's game at Inverness.
"We are going to sit down and have a chat with the doctor. Although it is very painful it might be a situation where he will be able to play with it.
"Obviously the most important thing is that he is right to play.
"We don't want to do any more damage, so time will tell."
