Swans striker can't wait to face title contenders City

Swansea striker Danny Graham admits he cannot wait to face big-spenders Manchester City on Monday night in the club's first ever Premier League fixture. The 26-year-old joined the Welsh outfit in a £3.5million switch from Watford over the summer after winning the Championship's Golden Boot with 24 goals for the Hornets. The Swans pipped the likes of West Brom and QPR to the former Middlesbrough man's signature and he is confident he made the right decision in joining the top flight newcomers. "It was a strange feeling to have clubs like West Brom, QPR and Swansea looking at me because although I've had interest in me before it has never been for sums of money as much as that," Graham told skysports.com. "As soon as I came to Swansea and met Brendan (Rodgers) I knew that this is where I wanted to be. "It was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make because each manager told me different things and in the end Swansea just felt right."

Immense

A trip to the Etihad Stadium probably was not the ideal choice for the Swans' first ever game in the Premier League, but Graham insists that he is relishing the encounter. He added: "I'm really looking forward to getting out on the pitch now and showing the fans what I can do because the boys that were already here put on one hell of a show last season. "Going to Manchester City on the opening day of the season will obviously be difficult, but at the same time we've got nothing to lose. "The build-up will be immense and it should be a full house, with the Sky cameras there, so it should be a great occasion."
