Wolverhampton Wanderers duo David Edwards and Sam Vokes have returned to training, club manager Mick McCarthy has confirmed.
Midfielder Edwards had been out of action since February while forward Vokes had been unable to take to the pitch all summer because of an ankle problem.
However, both the players are now on their way to recovery as Edwards joined the development group on Monday.
"Dave has got to play some games because he's hardly trained from coming back originally," McCarthy told the Express & Star. "He's got to train fully every day and play games and he will be fine.
"He was with the development group yesterday (Monday) because the first team were just cooling down.
"The ones who weren't involved with the first team at the weekend have been doing their testing and training individually.
"Dave trained with the development group but he'll join the main group when he's fit."
Guedioura & Kightly
McCarthy also revealed that midfielder Adlene Guedioura has returned to the Aspetar orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital in Doha, Qatar to continue his recovery from an ankle surgery.
"Adlene has had his operation and he's in Qatar having the first bit of his rehabilitation and then he will be back here," explained the Wolves boss.
"I have spoken to him and had text messages from him and he's feeling really optimistic about himself.
"He will be back when he's fit, but he's optimistic that he will be back by the six weeks stated at the time or sooner."
The 52-year-old further explained why winger Michael Kightly was left out of his team's 2-1 away victory over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday in their opening game of the 2011-12 Premier League season.
"Kightly trained at the end of last week and travelled with us," said McCarthy. "He had missed something like five days and I just decided not to put him on the bench."
Wolves' next encounter in the league is against Fulham at the Molineux Stadium on Sunday.
