Rangers have suffered a double injury blow with David Weir and Kyle Bartley unable to face Maribor.

Weir and Bartley miss out on Euro trip

Rangers boss Ally McCoist has suffered a double injury blow with defensive duo David Weir and Kyle Bartley left out of their squad to face Maribor. The Scottish champions have travelled to Slovenia ahead of their first-leg Europa League qualifier without captain Weir, who has failed to recover from a hamstring strain. Kyle Bartley suffered a groin strain in the 2-0 win at Inverness at the weekend and will also miss out. On a positive note, Lee McCulloch, who can operate as a makeshift centre-half, did travel and looks set to recover from a knee injury. Kyle Lafferty, who is recovering from a hernia operation, travelled with the rest of the team but is thought to be unlikely to feature.
