Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Mick McCarthy says that he will not entertain any bid for Kevin Doyle and adds that it would "rip the heart out" of the club if the forward leaves. The 27-year-old has been linked with a move to bigger clubs this summer and did his reputation no damage by displaying a fine performance and scoring a goal in Wolves' 2-0 win against Fulham at Molineux in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. McCarthy knows that clubs would be interested in a player like Doyle but insists that he will not let the Republic of Ireland player leave. "I think the end of the transfer window should coincide with the start of the season," he said. "We have started well, but can you imagine what that would do if someone took one of my best players away - not only to me, but to all the other players, to the club? It would just rip the heart out of it. "Somebody like (summer signing) Roger Johnson has come here with the belief that we were keeping all our players - Jamie O'Hara is the same. "I don't think it's going to happen, but I would be telling them to get lost." Wolves' victory over Fulham was their second successive win in the league and places them level on points with league leaders Manchester City after two rounds of matches.
