Paris St-Germain coach Antoine Kombouare insists striker Mevlut Erding will only be allowed to leave the club if they find a suitable replacement.
The former Sochaux frontman had previously expressed his desire to stay at the Parc De Princes, despite the big money arrivals of Javier Pastore and Kevin Gameiro.
The likes of Galatasaray, Lille and Bordeaux have all shown an interest in the striker this summer, who turned down an offer from Newcastle earlier this month in order to fight for his place.
However, rumours are now suggesting Erding has had a change of heart and that Rennes have agreed a €8million deal for the 24-year-old Turkey international.
Kombouare refused to confirm or deny whether such an agreement had been reached but did reveal that Erding wouldn't leave without the club finding someone to take his place.
He also admitted that Erding could play in PSG's Europa League play-off tie against Differdange on Thursday, even if that ruled him out of appearing in the competition for a new club.
"He is with us and if he is capable of playing he can play," said Kombouare.
"From the start Mevlut stated his desire to stay at the club. But for three days that has changed. But to me there is no changing; he remains a very important player. We can't put ourselves in a difficult situation.
"There will be a departure only if we find someone to replace him. If there is no one, Erding will stay.
"That is the deal"
