Warnock has scouts watch defender in action

Skysports.com understands Queens Park Rangers are lining up a move for Middlesbrough defender Seb Hines. QPR boss Neil Warnock is keen to bolster his squad before the close of the transfer window and Hines is thought to be on his list of targets. Warnock is thought to have had Hines watched during Wednesday's Carling Cup 2-0 win over Peterborough in which the defender got his name on the scoresheet. The Loftus Road chief could now make a move for the versatile defender before the transfer window slams shut on Wednesday night. Hines established himself as a key member of Tony Mowbray's side last term and his performances have alerted a number of clubs. Middlesbrough would be reluctant to lose Hines, but Mowbray has previously admitted the club could find it hard to resist big money offers for some of their top stars.
