Paris Saint-Germain have announced that striker Mevlut Erding will not be sold this summer. The 24-year-old has been linked with a number of a clubs during the summer transfer window, including Newcastle, Turkish giants Galatasaray, French champions Lille and Ligue 1 rivals Rennes. Erding's chances of a regular first team place at PSG are under doubt following the club's acquisition of a number of attacking players including Kevin Gameiro from Lorient. However, PSG have now denied that they are looking to offload Erding but have admitted that a number of clubs did approach them for his services. "Paris Saint-Germain is pleased to announced that striker Mevlut Erding will continue to play this season under the badge of PSG," reads a statement on the French giants' official website. "Despite numerous requests from clubs wishing to engage the services of Mevlut, the club and the player have decided to continue their adventure together." Erding, a Turkey international, joined PSG from Sochaux in the summer of 2009 and has a contract until June 2013.
