Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has hit out at the English media for what he perceives as an attempt to create friction with his former club Arsenal.
The France international made his City debut during the rout at Tottenham last weekend, following a £24million switch to the Etihad Stadium.
Nasri, 24, spent three years with the Gunners but, after winning no trophies during his time in North London, opted to join City's revolution.
He has been quoted a number of times comparing the two clubs, notably describing the quiet atmosphere inside Arsenal's stadium.
However, Nasri has now criticised the press for twisting his words, saying on Twitter: "This tweet is for the English newspapers - stop trying to make something between me and Arsenal. I love this club and everything around it."
