Juventus striker Amauri had the opportunity to go elsewhere during the transfer window but stayed to try and show his quality, according to the player's agent.
The 31-year-old has been with the Turin club since 2008 but has fallen down the pecking order in recent times and was loaned out to Parma for the second half of last season.
He was expected to move on this summer after being linked with the likes of Palermo, Marseille and Turkish trio Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor.
However, last week's deadline passed with Amauri still at Juventus and his representative, Giampiero Pocetta, now hopes the Italy international will be given the chance to impress.
"Every player has the right to accept or reject a transfer," Pocetta told Sky Sport Italia.
"Amauri took note of the offers coming in and thanked everyone, but decided to stay at Juventus.
"It is not good to exploit his position. Amauri will try to prove himself to Juventus and the coach."
