Striker backed to score by captain

Crawley Town skipper Pablo Mills has backed prolific striker Matt Tubbs to continue his impressive goal ratio in the Football League. The 27-year-old has carved out a reputation for notching regularly in the Blue Square Premier, with a whopping 40 goals in 47 appearances last season, as Town stormed to the title. The former Salisbury striker has continued in the same vein this year, with four goals in his first five League Two games, and Mills believes that Tubbs could score goals at any level if given the chance.

Knack

"It doesn't matter what level you are playing at, strikers just have to keep putting the ball in the back of the net," he told skysports.com. "Tubbsy did that last season and, with no disrespect to the Blue Square Premier, it will be a lot tougher for us all this year in the Football League, but he has got the knack of being in the right place at the right time. "You can't buy that and I'm sure that he will be just as successful in front of goal this year as he was last season for us."
