Manchester United defender Chris Smalling has revealed he would happily spend the rest of his career with the Premier League champions.
Smalling enjoyed an impressive debut season at Old Trafford following his 2010 arrival from Fulham and has continued that progress in the early weeks of the new campaign.
He has started at right-back for United and has also broken into the England team in that position after featuring in the Euro 2012 qualifying wins over Bulgaria and Wales.
The 21-year-old is enjoying life with the Red Devils and is determined to continuing repaying the faith of United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
"I don't look too far ahead but I hope I can really get an established career and stay here for the rest of my life," he told Inside United.
"I want to get more and more games as my time goes on because I really feel part of this club.
"I'm really enjoying my football at the minute. The manager has full faith in me and I want to repay that in the years to come."
Smalling also praised summer signing Phil Jones, who has caught the eye in United's last two fixtures and earned a call-up to the England squad.
"He doesn't take any nonsense and is strong in the air," said Smalling.
"He is good on the ball too and plays some great passes, even in training. You can see glimpses of his talent.
"I am sure fans will soon appreciate his technical ability and grow to love that aspect of his game as the season goes on."
