MK Dons are waiting to discover the extent of the injury Stephen Gleeson sustained against Sheffield Wednesday.

The midfielder limped off after just 25 minutes of the 3-1 defeat at Hillsborough on Saturday after receiving a lengthy period of treatment following a late challenge that went unpunished. Manager Karl Robinson said: "Stephen Gleeson is the type of character who you have to drag off the pitch and he asked to come off which is not like him. We will have to assess that and see how he is." Robinson felt Gleeson's enforced withdrawal changed the game against the Owls. He added: "I felt that for 25 minutes we really dictated the game up until Stephen came off. I thought that with Stephen and Darren (Potter) in midfield we were passing it well, moving the ball and creating chances. It stunned us a little bit after he went off."
