Aberdeen boss says Fallon deal has added pressure

Aberdeen boss Craig Brown admits he has put himself under pressure after asking his board to push through a deal for Rory Fallon. Brown has completed the signing of the former Plymouth ace on a two-year deal. And the Dons chief admits that the club had to push through their budget for the 29-year-old which piles on the pressure for him. "There is extra pressure on us to win games because the board has been very co-operative to give us extra money to bring Rory here so they deserve, as do the fans, success, and it is up to us to make sure they get it," he admitted. "We are delighted to get him, he has a good scoring record, he is a good footballer, he is a national hero in New Zealand and hopefully he will be a local hero in Aberdeen. "What Rory brings is an extra provision and I want to emphasise that I am not in any way displeased with the strikers we have got. "We haven't been scoring but I am convinced that the ones that we have will score goals. "If you only have four strikers you have less than any other club in the SPL, every club has at least five or six forward players."
