Mali ace one step closer to PSG debut

Paris Saint Germain's summer signing Mohamed Sissoko has expressed his delight at making his playing return in their reserves. The 26-year-old former Juventus and Liverpool man ended the last campaign on the sidelines after undergoing season-ending knee surgery. Sissoko made his first appearance for his new club after playing 75 minutes in a reserves clash against Ivry. The Mali international accepts he is currently short of match sharpness, although he is confident that will return with games.

Difficult time

"I enjoyed playing 75 minutes on Sunday. It was great to get back playing football," he told skysports.com. "It's been a difficult time for me but with the help of God I'm back and I'm physically back to my best. "I looked a bit rusty to be honest but that will be okay once i start playing regularly in a competitive game for my club. "I'm looking forward to having great start to my career with PSG."
