Goulding wants star performance

Cheltenham's Jeff Goulding wants a big performance against Hereford on Saturday after last weekend's loss to AFC Wimbledon.

The Robins have failed to beat the Bulls in their six Football League meetings, with their only derby triumph coming when the sides met in the Conference in 1999. "We have to look forward to the next game and it's a derby, so everyone will be up for it," Goulding told the Gloucester Citizen. Defeat put Cheltenham in 13th place, but Hereford are currently languishing in 23rd and Goulding hopes that a big performance at the Abbey Business Stadium would be a just reward for the supporters. "The fans will get behind us and they were brilliant at Wimbledon. We really appreciated their support and it was a shame we couldn't put on a show for them. "Hopefully we can put in a performance for them against Hereford and I am sure we'll react in the right way."
