Cherries boss warns clubs

Manager Lee Bradbury has warned other clubs that Bournemouth will not be held to ransom over their transfer targets.

Bradbury revealed that he had not heavily pursued Barnet winger Mark Marshall or Mansfield defender Tom Naylor because their clubs were holding out for more money than the Cherries were willing to part with. "We put in a bid for Tom Naylor and it was turned down and it was the same with Mark Marshall," he told the Daily Echo. "In my opinion, their respective clubs are asking for too much money and we are not willing to pay it. "We don't want to pay what we feel is over the odds for players. "It is real money and I have got to protect the club and do the best deal. If I can get somebody in with the same sort of ability for less then I will."
