Sheffield United defender Marcus Williams hopes to play in the biggest game of his life when rivals Sheffield Wednesday visit on Sunday.

The left-back, who extended his loan stay from Reading until mid-December on Monday, has missed the Blades' last two games with a dead leg suffered in the defeat at Wycombe. However, he has regained fitness and is ready to return in the much-hyped derby clash. "Hopefully I will be back for Sunday," Williams, whose stay at Bramall Lane could become permanent in January, told the club's official website. "The boys have been telling me how massive the game is and it what it means to the fans and club. I have never played in a game as big as this one coming up. "When I was at Scunthorpe we played Doncaster and Hull but it just wasn't the same. This game is important for us we need to get the points and get back on track."
