Gary Monk believes he is nearing full fitness from a long-term foot injury as he prepares to lead Swansea out at Norwich on Saturday.
A defensive crisis at the Liberty Stadium meant the captain was forced to play through the pain barrier against West Brom, Stoke and Chelsea last month.
The 32-year-old began to struggle at the end of last season, receiving a course of injections throughout the play-off campaign.
But the defender, who complained of persistent numbness in his foot in pre-season, is confident he is finally overcoming the problem.
"I am getting stronger with every game I play," he told the South Wales Evening Post.
"Against Stoke I felt better than I did against Chelsea, and against Chelsea I felt better than I did against West Brom.
"I am not far off now, and hopefully I will be pretty much there when we play Norwich.
"It's always good to be playing games and I am enjoying being in there, especially when we are getting some good results.
"And I just want to stay injury-free and keep things going now. I want to play my part in getting us safe from relegation as quickly as possible.
"I have noticed the injury in games, usually when you get past the hour mark and you are fatiguing a little bit.
"That's when the power seems to be going in the foot a little bit, but I am getting stronger all the time and hopefully I am nearly over it completely."
