Stoke boss Tony Pulis has urged his prized striker Peter Crouch not to give up on prolonging his England career so easily.
Crouch was signed for a club record £10million from Tottenham on transfer deadline day and has made a fruitful start to his Potters career.
The 30-year-old has netted twice since his move - an equaliser against Manchester United and the winner against Besiktas in the Europa League - as he aims to profit from regular first-team football.

Crouch has not played for England in 11 months but Wayne Rooney's suspension for three games may have opened the door for a potential recall.
His record of 22 goals from 42 games perhaps lends weight to his inclusion in the squad at least, and Pulis for one wholly endorses his selection.
"I think Peter's record in Europe is fantastic," said Pulis.
"He needs to do well for us, he needs to score goals.
"We need to do well for him as well and I think if we do that, if we both marry that together, Peter's still got a great chance [of playing for England again].
"I wouldn't give up yet if I was Peter."
