Defender believes Norwich need to focus on games at Carrow Road

Norwich City defender Russell Martin insists that his team's home record will decide where they finish this season. The Canaries' inspiring 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield last Saturday was a fantastic result regarding their lack of Premier League experience. Despite Norwich's impressive results away from home, Martin believes the performances at Carrow Road will determine whether they stay in the Premier League or not. "You want to win all your home games, whether it's against Swansea, Manchester United - home form is going to be massive," said Martin in the Eastern Daily Press. "The more home wins we can pick up the more pressure it takes off us on the road." Martin has strung together a series of good performances at centre-half but he realises he will have to give his maximum if he wants to challenge for a place in the starting line-up when his team-mates are fully fit. "Hopefully I can stay there as long as possible," he said. "It's up to me to keep them out. "I'm enjoying it and me and Barney are growing every game. We're improving, I'll keep learning so hopefully I can improve in that position."
