Free agent defender insists he did not row with Magath

Defender Arne Friedrich has yet to make a decision regarding his future after leaving Wolfsburg. The injury-plagued 82-time Germany international parted company with his former club in September after his request was granted for the termination of his contract. Despite his fitness problems, the experience of Friedrich makes him an attractive prospect for a number of clubs, but he has yet to make a definitive decision. The 32-year-old told Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg media: "I have no news with regard to my future. I want to think long and hard about my future.

"I need to know where I am going from here. I am taking all the time so I am able to find this out. And I will then decide where my future is." Rumours have suggested either mental exhaustion or a bust-up with Wolfsburg manager Felix Magath were the real reason behind Friedrich's departure from the Volkswagen Arena. Friedrich has already denied the speculation regarding stress and he has now rubbished reports of a row with Magath. He said: "Me and Felix Magath had a professional relationship. It is not the other way round and I do not think either party has any reason to throw mud on the other party. "Felix Magath was not the reason for me to terminate my contract with Wolfsburg."
