Clarets defender says team will impress fans and make up for Cup defeat

Burnley's on-loan defender Ben Mee believes that his team will use the disappointment from their Carling Cup exit to inspire them against North West rivals Blackpool on Saturday. The Clarets' hopes of reaching the last eight in the League Cup ended as they lost 1-0 at Championship rivals Cardiff on Tuesday. Manchester City youth product Mee wants to take out his team's frustration against Blackpool at Turf Moor this weekend to impress the fans. "We were on such a high after Saturday and we have to bounce back because we have a massive game at the weekend," he told the club's official website. "It's a big game and it's one the fans always want us to do well in. We are going to pick ourselves up and perform on Saturday to make up for last night. "We have got three big games coming up towards the international break and we want to get as many points as possible."
